This is a limited edition print series. The editions are printed from a single etching plate in copper.
The image was inspired while swimming on the beach at Wells-Next-The-Sea in north Norfolk. My daughter was about 6 years old at the time and was determined to brave the chilly waters despite it being a sunny summer day. I captured her jumping just as the large waves hit her. The waves were nearly as high as her, so she had to jump as high as possible to avoid being washed away. The image has universal appeal as it captures the joy of childhood. Everyone remembers doing exactly that same thing at around that age? Maybe we never grow out of that simple pleasure. This print has sold widely so purchase one quickly before the edition runs out!
