Tropical paradise
This fashion illustration was captured from a live drawing session with Drawing Cabaret Couture celebrating the work of Edwina Ibbotson.
Janet Mayer modelled this millinery design 'Tropical paradise' featuring a bright color palette of feathers and cascading flowers.
This design begged for the use of sarurated inks for the flowers and colored pencil for the face to capture the drama of the shadows.
Edwina made this bright piece for an exhibition at the V&A museum titled, 'The Anthropology of Hats' in 2006 curated by Stephen Jones.
