About Julia O'Callaghan

Julia left school at 16 to study pattern drafting and sewing in Dublin full time for 2 years. During this time she applied to Central Saint Martins, and shortly thereafter moved to London. She works primarily with upcycled/found materials, be it second hand leather coats, metal washers, old boots, or chopped up donated cashmere jumpers.

Her work centers heavily on technique, craft, and embellishment, utilizing techniques such as Irish needle lacemaking, and custom metalwork.
